Welcome to the second edition of Theoretical Thursdays this summer. For the first article click here. This week we have the visual history of the NBC logo. Oh, and no, I haven’t yet forgiven their executives for canceling Community. John J. Graham’s peacock logo debuted in homes on May 22, 1956, to advertise the recent switch of television … Continue reading
I bring you the return of the blog–mostly because my best friend (You should visit her at http://bsidesdesign.com.) won’t stop bugging me about it. I caved because I enjoy it. I hope you do, too. Hey there everybody! It’s December 10th! I’m excited to once again be writing about the return of Community (#sixseasonsandamovie)! This is … Continue reading
No one plays paintball like the cast of Community, and no one can freak out over pen theft quite like Alison Brie! Enjoy this week’s Friday Fun featuring quite possibly my favorite television show ever.
The Christmas season is full of creativity and cheer, but now that it’s December 26 I’m counting the days not until New Year’s but until NBC debuts the hour long Community season five premiere! That’s right HOUR LONG PREMIERE! #sixseasonsandamovie I’m obsessed. I admit it. But I’ve been watching this show for a long time now.
The cast of Community get’s animated! This crew is known for crazy shenanigans from felt puppets to epic games of D&D. It stands to reason the whole cast would get animated eventually. First season: Anthony Michael Hall-smashing fisticuffs…second season: claymation…third season: a ‘Glee’fully hilarious musical…fourth season: holiday hostages! I know because I’ve collected the first … Continue reading

So having a week off has given me time to spend time with friends and family, decorate, bake, and binge watch one of the best sitcoms on television right now. Okay, okay in a little over a week. This show has a ball not a ‘Bang’ and I love it because I can actually follow … Continue reading
Shirley Bennett is one of the best tv moms since Lorelai Gilmore. She’s flawed, but she cares, and the group would easily get out of hand without her as a moral compass of sorts. Shirley is judgmental, too, but she also forgives. It’s refreshing to see a Christian character instead of a caricature of a … Continue reading
In case you missed it yesterday I am a big Community fan! I’ve hardly missed an episode since I came dashing home from class on a Thursday evening five years ago to see what this intriguing new pilot was about especially since it followed Tina Fey’s cult comedy 30 Rock. And so here we are: fall. … Continue reading
You know you’re a fanatic when a TV show comes along and several seasons down the line you’ve barely missed an episode since the pilot (the first episode) debuted. Joel McHale (The Soup), Gillian Jacobs, and Dan Harmon caught my attention early and have held me captive ever since despite NBC’s best efforts to cancel … Continue reading
