‘Tessie’ takes the title home

The Boston Red Sox take home their first World Series Title since 2007 last night to what I can only imagine as an exceedingly packed house last night.

It’s always good to watch a come-from-behind win. It makes the taste of victory all the more sweeter and the bitterness of defeat all the more pronounced.

Well done Boston! You’ve come a long way this season and your city is standing by you. … Remember the Boston bombings? Thing of the past now.

Boston’s other favorite sons, the Dropkick Murphys, sing the Red Sox’s theme song, Tessie, in the video below. The band sang their runaway hit “I’m Shipping Up to Boston” (found on The Departed soundtrack) and “The Star Spangled Banner” at the beginning of the game on their home turf Fenway Park.
